WELCOME TO SUMMER @ CIVIC
Civic Education is an evolving space for arts education excellence and community development. Civic classes and workshops provide opportunities to receive comprehensive, high-quality theatrical education experiences led by well-qualified theatre artists. In line with our Mission statement, Civic Education is an outlet to ‘foster an enduring love for live theatre,’ regardless of experience or means.
SUMMER CLASSES – Weekly (Mon – Thu) July 7 – August 18
Classes include Acting Through Song, Auditioning and Preparing for a Play, Ballet Fundamentals for Musical Theatre, Character Development, Creative Adventures: An Actor’s Voice & Movement, Creative Movement, Dance Styles of Broadway, Improv, Musical Theatre Masterclass, Playwriting, Scene Study, Technical Theatre: Designing the Show, and more.
Teaching artists include Joshua Baig, Ann Benson, Kylle Collins, Bonni Dichone, Chelsea DuVall, Elise Forier Edie, James Gallo, Sarah Glesk, Nathan Hoyt, Karlin Kahler, Mary Ormsby, Peter Rossing, Dana Sammond, Jake Schaefer, Jamie L. Suter, Rachae Thomas, Ryan Wasson, and Erin Weller.
