An initiative of Spokane Public Schools, LaunchNW, and local contributing partners, Engage In Real Life (EngageIRL) aims to increase access and opportunities for Spokane youth and families to participate in clubs, sports, arts activities, and other community events.
Soon this website will feature a directory of out-of-school programs for Spokane youth. We encourage families to explore by age, interest, and neighborhood.
When children and young people are involved in activities, we see improvements in school performance and attendance. They are less likely to get into trouble outside of the school day. They are healthier physically and mentally, and they have stronger relationships. Most importantly, kids connect directly with their friends, not through a screen on an electronic device.
