Ages 16 and older Caricature is an old and respected art form. It’s also a lucrative sideline for a professional artist. In this workshop, we’ll discuss the ways to exaggerate and simplify an individual’s distinctive features to depict someone in a way that’s both funny and instantly recognizable. The instructor has been drawing caricatures professionally for over 30 years and has learned to draw them both at leisure and under intense time pressure. He’ll draw a caricature of each of the students, and they intern will draw each other and celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, politics, and sports.
