- Ages: Elementary – High School

- Description: In many ways, soccer is like a chess game in motion. Our camp is designed to help players of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced players, improve their chess skills and develop a love for the game. Each day will be packed with engaging activities, including interactive lessons, practice games, and fun tournaments.

🐎 Horseback Riding Summer Camps

The City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the professional management and prudent caretaking of all park land and park facilities including Riverfront Park, Manito Park, Gaiser Conservatory and the many city-wide gardens, Finch Arboretum and the Urban Forestry Program, and 87 neighborhood parks.
🥏 Disc Golf Super Summer Camp!

- Description: Learn and discover new skills and talents or tune up your game with personal skill development. Enjoy being outside in nature, building new friendships and playing disc golf! First two days at North YMCA Disc Golf Course, second two days at Liberty Park Disc Golf Course and Pool, and a final tournament Whitewater Disc Golf Course will conclude the week with prizes. All students receive a new beginner or advanced disc.

🐎 Horseback Riding Camp
- Ages: 8 – 13 years

- Location: Relational Riding Academy, 3714 W Anderson Rd. Cheney WA, 99004
- Description: Open to beginners and kids of all levels of experience. Limited to 20 participants working in groups of 5 for both riding and other activities. Kids will not only learn to ride they will also learn all about horses! Time spent at camp includes horse themed crafts, games and educational activities. Each group has a qualified adult supervisor at all times. While on horseback, each rider has a helper as needed in addition to the instructor. This program is open to 2nd year campers and experienced riders.

🛟 Jr. Lifeguard Camp
- Ages: 10 – 15 years
- Dates: Multiple options
- Location: Comstock or Shadle Aquatic Centers
- Description: Participants learn what it takes to be a Spokane Aquatics Lifeguard by introducing them to water safety, rescue skills, first aid, CPR, health and wellness, and sustainability. Camp participants will learn the ins and outs of pool operations beyond what happens on deck. Through games and fun activities, swimming and diving skills will be refined, and endurance increased. This camp goes beyond fun, it will prepare your child to take a lifeguard class or join our Aqua Ducks Novice Swim Team. Prerequisite: demonstration of Barracuda skills. Please note that this camp does not certify your child to become a lifeguard. If you are interested in becoming a certified lifeguard, visit our lifeguarding course page.

🏀 WSU MBB 2025 Elite Camp
- Ages: High School
- Dates: 6/24/25 – 6/25/25
- Location: Washington State University
- Description: Elite level camp for all 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade. Coach Riley and his staff have a hands-on approach and are involved in every drill throughout the camp. Players get personal feedback on skill development. Individual instruction provided for all players. Skill development stressing the importance of fundamentals. Camp will be staffed by WSU basketball coaches along with current WSU basketball players. This is an overnight camp. Campers will stay in Washington State dorms.

🎭 All Day Improv Camp

At All Day Improv, we will dive deeper into the art of improv. In addition to mastering the fundamentals, you’ll discover various forms of improvisation, including different type of games, movement, and performance techniques. Students will have the opportunity to take four classes taught by various instructors, covering topics such as Improv Tools, Games, Stage, and Character. This improv camp is great for honing your improv skills and applying them on stage and in everyday life.

Each summer Spokane Children’s Theatre provides classes in the theatre arts for young people. We are excited to announce that this summer we are expanding our Summer Camps to offer two ability levels for students to expand their theatre skills and have tons of fun! - Description: Children are born with the spark of the divine housed in them. Their eagerness to learn and develop only needs to be encouraged and witnessed. At Blue Sky camps we know that children are both the student and the teacher and we can learn from each other. During this week activities will encourage confidence in innate abilities. A variety of skills-based learning opportunities will be offered from fort building and wind chime creations to rock climbing excursions and making play dough from scratch. Activities will be age-appropriate so your 6-year-old may not be doing the same thing as a 12 or 13 year-old.

Practices that focus on collaboration and teamwork help kids learn to work together and discover the beauty of community. Campers will get on the water, learn about photosynthesis, identify native flora and fauna, and so much more.

🌲 Blue Sky Summer Camp – I AM Creative

- Description: At Blue Sky Camps, we believe every child is born creative. Creativity isn’t just about making art—it’s about listening inward, expressing truth, and finding joy in the process. This week is all about exploring self-expression in playful, hands-on ways. Campers will dive into projects like balsa wood wind chimes, handmade stamps, rock and nature-based painting, and even tie-dyeing t-shirts using natural dyes from plants, teas, and flowers. They’ll also sculpt with clay to create essential oil diffusers, necklaces, and pendants using leaves and flowers as imprints. Through daily creative exploration, movement, and time in nature, campers will learn to follow their inner spark and honor their own rhythm. This week offers the freedom to simply be—and to feel the joy that comes from creating something that is truly their own.

☀️ NATIVE Youth Summer Program
- Ages: Youth 1st – 8th grade

- Description: Native Youth Summer Program is held in the West Central Community of Spokane for youth entering 1st grade thru 8th grade for school year 2025/2026. The program is hosted by The NATIVE Project, Spokane School District 81, and Title 7 Indian Education.
During summer break we provide NP active patients (Medical/Dental/BH/SUD) a 4-week program from July 7 – August 1, 2025, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, youth in 1st-8th grade. Our goal is to address and eliminate health disparities in BIPOC communities and to increase on-time HS graduation, while creating a strong and healthy & vibrant community. We have mentors from all over the community to provide a safe, educational and fun experience through weekly field trips, cultural, math, reading, science, and physical activities.

- Description: Camp Code for Girls is a free week-long program that makes computer programming fun and accessible for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade girls. Campers gain hands-on experience in coding, while learning how to solve real-world problems, build mobile apps, and make a positive impact. Instructors and guest speakers—all accomplished tech professionals—connect with the campers to introduce them to the opportunities open to women in tech from programming to engineering to cybersecurity, and more!

💻 Coding Camp – Free Camp!

In this three-day camp, learn the basic principles of program design and apply those skills to create instructions for different gadgets, both virtual and physical. 🌲 B.A.S.E. Camp- Big Adventure Skills and Exploration
- Ages: 8 – 10 years
- Dates: Multiple options
- Location: Riverside State Park Bowl & Pitcher
- Description: Welcome to B.A.S.E. Camp! From here, big adventures await. During daily excursions, you will expand your skills in a variety of activities with awesome counselors and professional guides. Take aim with disc golf, come together as a team to paddle raft down the river, seek out wildlife on kayaks, explore meandering shorelines on a paddleboard, and take yourself to new heights with outdoor rock climbing! Campers will enjoy the small group sizes of no more than 12 per week.

⛺ Wilderness Survival Camp for Youth
- Ages: 6 – 14 years
- Dates: Multiple options
- Location: 3402 N Equestrian Lane Spokane WA, 99224
- Description: No prerequisites needed. A day of building survival skills and testing yourself against real life survival scenarios! Skills taught/practiced include shelters, fire safety/building, knife safety, tracking, foraging teamwork, traps, orienteering, cordage and knots, and primitive skills. We dive even deeper into skills the group finds most engaging. Our goal is building initiative, self control, and judgment skills while connecting with the natural world and having fun. The week ends with an exciting final scenario and a certificate of achievement.

Therapeutic Recreation Services strives to provide enjoyable specialized and adaptive recreational activities for individuals with disabilities. Our purpose is to create positive experiences that develop appropriate leisure and social skills in our participants. By developing these skills participants can become increasingly self-confident, courageous, and independent. We want our customers to feel right at home and to make new friends with staff and other participants.
☀️ TRS Funshine Day Camp – 4 Weeks

- Description: 4 weeks Funshine Day Camp is a fun-filled camp for those with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Campers will have the opportunity to interact and socialize with their peers through crafts, music, science experiments, books, board games, group activities, and more. Fridays are field trip days to a variety of exciting locations. Each week the camp centers around a different theme. We celebrate the end of summer with our annual Potluck BBQ & Carnival. Campers will have the opportunity to interact and socialize with their peers through crafts, music, science experiments, books, board games, group activities, and more. - Description: Join 90+ for a Free Jamboree Day! Summer camp participants are highly encouraged to join us for a 5th day extension of their camp week. Each Friday Jamboree option coincides with one of our Monday-Thursday camp weeks. The jamboree will be split up into fields of 4v4, 5v5 and 6v6. Camp players… invite your friends out to join you for this exciting Free Jamboree option! All players in the birth years below are welcome to register regardless of if you are registered for summer camp. We encourage players to sign up for all three Jamboree dates if you are able!

Bikesaretheanswer.org is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit founded to help kids and families thrive. Our mission is to foster a fun and inclusive environment where students can find community and healthy competition through biking. We focus on delivering a fun and inclusive environment because it unleashes internal motivation and drive in ways coaches and parents typically can’t. We make it easy for parents and families to connect and build friendships through volunteering and coaching because everyone seems to thrive when this happens. We named ourselves bikesaretheanswer because as a tool set, biking outside with friends, in the form we are structured to deliver, helps kids and families thrive.

- Description: Spokane’s bike team focuses on a fun and inclusive environment where students can find community through biking. Practices are held 3 times per week and student-athletes are grouped at each practice based on their experience, skill level, and desired output for the day. Races take place 2 times per month, and are optional. We make it easy for parents and families to connect and build friendships through volunteering since there are multiple on- and off-bike opportunities to become involved. On our bike team, there are no try-outs, beginners to experts are welcome, and everyone is on the same team.

Spokane Indians Youth Baseball & Softball (SIYBS) is a non-profit organization that provides a positive youth baseball and softball experience in the Inland Northwest for boys and girls, including players with special needs, by developing sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork, honesty, and character. SIYBS is governed by leaders in the community who work to establish longstanding working relationships, while raising funds for scholarships, fields, and players with physical challenges.

- Description: Pool time designed for swimmers with sensory sensitivities. Each swimmer will be required to have an adult caregiver/parent to provide support as needed. The pool will be less crowded, whistles will not be used as frequently and swimmers can enjoy a zero depth entry, slides and play structure. Meet at A.M. Cannon Aquatic Center, 1900 W. - Description: We will visit a Spokane Parks and Recreation Park that host a Jr. Disc golf course. Safety and throwing fundamentals will be covered. Games played each week. We cover Spokane Public School boundaries as well as the Cheney, Medical Lake, Reardan, and Lind/Ritzville school districts. - Description: What are “summer intensives?” Just our fancy way of saying there’s like…a lot of practices in the beginning. Teams hit the ground running with 3-5x practices per week for the first several weeks of the season. These are required safety foundation practices in preparation for Jamboree! Jamboree is our all-day League-wide skills clinic with pro coaches and mentors! It is the PERFECT day for team-building, bonding and skill development. Get ready to work hard and learn a lot!

- Description: Unity in the Community, backed by the 501c3 NW Unity, is a special day for our children and their families to honor and enjoy the rich heritages that make our community great. This is a day where our children can hear dozens of languages and meet others who have come to our region from communities all over the world. Playing games and sharing different cultures is a great learning and growing experience for all. This wonderful day-long festival will feature diverse entertainment, cultural village displays, games, arts, food, and many other activities for both children and adults, including a job/career fair, health screening and more. As always, most of our proceeds go to worthy causes like providing 1,200 bags of school supplies, bicycle helmets, senior resources and other fun things for the children of our community.

- Description: In this overnight summer camp on the Eastern Washington University campus, students are placed in a dynamic simulation where they act as industry professionals, launch a company, sharpen their communication skills, and solve real-world challenges. Student led companies race against the clock to develop a world-changing idea and pitch it to potential investors at the end-of-week competition. Guided by a mentor from a local business, students learn to work as a team, explore careers, and build a network with professionals and future leaders. Each day, students and their companies dive into a real-world business simulation in the career pathway they’ve chosen. Students make strategic decisions as a team and participate in interactive projects alongside other companies. Business leaders from around the state share their experiences and challenges and provide valuable insight and direction as they mentor the teams.
