On Tuesday, March 25th, parents and community members gathered at Shadle Park High School for an EngageIRL Parent Night. Keynote speaker, Dr. Jean Twenge, presented on the rise of technology and its impacts on our youngest generations. Attendees were introduced to Dr. Twenge’s extensive research and left with practical tips for parenting in the modern age.
Prior to Dr. Twenge’s presentation, parents and families were given time to visit with local, youth-serving organizations. Over fifteen community organizations joined EngageIRL in sharing resources and opportunities with local families. The Shadle Park cafeteria brimmed with excited chatter, activity registrations, and information sharing. LaunchNW and Spokane Public Schools extend a sincere thank you to the event sponsors, community organizations, and local families that came together to make this event a success.
